Stone Kissed – Keri Stevens

Stone Kissed

Stone Kissed has a lot of things going for it.  There’s romance, paranormal activity, conflict, historical strains in a contemporary setting, suspense, drama, laughs and a real “feel good” vibe.  All of these things are blended seamlessly into a jolly good read.  This is a book that sucks you in and leaves you with a warm afterglow.

It’s rarely been my pleasure to read a book where the paranormal element isn’t vampires, werewolves and the fae and where the paranormal elements do not almost overshadow the actual story.  It’s more about magic and belief in the unbelievable.

While there is a multitude of characters, the secondary characters do not overwhelm the main characters or storyline; instead they add depth and body to the story.  I found myself barracking for the hero and trying to will the heroine to see that the hero is a good guy.

Ms Stevens’s heroine is complex and the growth of this character is what drew me in and kept me invested throughout the journey of this book.

Well done on this you debut novel.  I look forward to more novels.  I recommend this book as a great curl up on a lazy day read
